ABOUT

Skylar Wilson is a self-taught artist and musician who grew up in Tennessee. As a child, Skylar was inspired to draw and paint by obsessively reading *Mad Magazine* and Gary Larson's The Far Side comics. He won numerous awards in high school for his paintings and sculptures while also creating music and studying piano.

 

After finishing school in Nashville, Skylar pursued a successful career in music production, earning gold records and numerous other accolades. He later transitioned into animation, where he realized he could combine his passion for both sights and sounds into one cinematic presentation. His animation efforts have been well-received, with his contributions leading to a Peabody Award and a portfolio of high-profile client work.

 

This animation background inspires much of his 2D artwork, which features bold colors and thoughtful designs that work in harmony to tell a story and communicate a feeling. Skylar draws upon his experiences in both the visual arts and music to create unique paintings and vivid illustrations.
